We’re getting married… again!

As you may know, we had an intimate wedding this past October during the pandemic. Now that we can all safely gather, we cannot wait to celebrate with you in New Orleans!

New Orleans has become a very special place for us. It was not only where we took our first trip, but it is also where we first said “I love you.” Since then, we have traveled back there multiple times to enjoy the food, the music and the truly unique vibes. We would love to now share this all with you.

Please be sure to scroll through the entire website for all details regarding the weekend’s festivities!

The Need to Know

Dress Code

We’re defining it as Funky Formal. We encourage bright pops of color, embellishments, fun accessories, you name it! Save your boring black suit for the next affair.

Pro-Tip: Try to wear comfortable shoes, and remember, New Orleans could be warm this time of year! Temperatures could be as high as 80 and as low as 60.

Vaccine & Masking Policy

New Orleans restaurants, bars and venues are requiring proof of vaccination. For the most up-to-date local guidelines, please follow this link.

Overall, we want everyone to have a great time, but we need everyone to be safe - so please, come fully vaccinated and ready to boogie!

Wedding Gift

We definitely have enough stuff. Because of this we have created a Cash Fund with Zola. Due to the effects of Hurricane Ida, we will be donating 50% of all gifts received to The Mutual Aid Response Network, led by Imagine Water Works (we know, we changed it from Fair Fight - sorry Stacey Abrams, this just felt right).

Adults Only

We know you [mostly] love your kids, but after the year we have all had, it’s time to leave them at home and cut loose!

While we encourage all guests to leave the kids at home, should you choose to bring them to New Orleans, here are some recommended baby sitting services: Nurture Nannies and Merry Pop-Ins.

Accommodations

To help accommodate our guests, we have reserved a block of rooms at two hotels - The Hotel Fontenot & The Old No. 77 Hotel. Situated just three blocks from the French Quarter, you will be in a perfect location to explore the city. The hotels are right down the block from each other, so pick whichever one tickles your fancy!

The Hotel Fontenot

Why We Like It: The hotel is brand new, so you’ll be one of their very first guests. They have a gorgeous bar to lounge at - plus they have a “boozy” coffee shop in the hotel!

The Old No. 77 Hotel

Why We Like It: This funky boutique hotel is home to one of our favorite restaurants - the James Beard awarding-winning, Compère Lapin. If you don’t eat there while staying, we will judge you forever.

Vic & Greg’s NOLA Favorites

Whether this is your first time traveling to New Orleans, or you would just like to experience the city through the lens of Vic & Greg, here are a few of our very favorite spots to visit:

Breakfast Vibes

  • Willa Jean - Here you’ll find tasty baked treats, out of this world fried chicken & delicious cocktails. What more could you want from a brunch spot?

  • Molly’s Rise and Shine - From the creators of Turkey & the Wolf, Molly’s is an awesome place to grab a quick(ish) breakfast. Try any of their breakfast sandwiches - just make sure you leave room for the Carrot Yogurt. Pro Tip: Check out the DNO store across the street for some super cool shirts.

  • French Truck Coffee - We all know Greg majors in Coffee Snobbery, so if French Truck is Greg approved, then it must be pretty good.

  • tM breads and pastries - Just one bite of a pastry here and you’ll instantly feel transported to a Paris café. They bake limited quantities of their treats, so try to get here early to snag your favs. Pro Tip: there’s a French Truck a few blocks away, so you can do a Vic & Greg mega morning.

Lunch Vibes

  • Cochon Butcher - This is the sandwich outpost for the famous restaurant, Cochon. Make sure you get the Cuban sandwich here - you’ll definitely thank us.

  • Parkway Bakery & Tavern - If you’re looking for a Po Boy, head to Parkway. Nuff’ said.

  • Turkey & the Wolf - Come here hungry and leave here happy. This place is quirky, fun and you’ll have one of the best sandwiches of your life here.

  • Clesi's Seafood Restaurant - If you want to do a classic NOLA fish boil and/or fish fry, try Clesi’s. This super casual spot is a lot of fun, especially if you go with a big group!

Dinner Vibes

  • Compère Lapin - Hands-down, this is Vic & Greg’s favorite restaurant in NOLA. This Caribbean/Creole fare is like nothing you have ever had. Pro Tip: make sure you get the curried goat!

  • Toups Meatery - As the name suggests, come here if you’re hankering for a meat-coma. You’ll end up eating way more than you planned, but we promise it’s worth it.

  • N7 - N7 serves up delicious, creative French food in an absolutely beautiful space. They also have a great natural wine selection, which if you know Vic, you know she’s a fangirl for.

  • MOPHO - I know, you’re thinking “Vietnamese food in New Orleans?” Trust - it’s the most insanely delicious pho you’ll ever have. Pro Tip: if you’re hungover, head here for The Hangover Part II - it’ll cure anything (just ask Greg).

Late-Night Vibes

  • Bar Marilou - This is Vic’s favorite cocktail bar in the city. The space is plush and dreamy, and the cocktails are out of this world.

  • The Dungeon - The Dungeon is the weirdest bar you’ll find on Bourbon Street. As much as Vic hates to admit it, this Metal-themed bar is the spot where they first said, “I love you.” Greg thinks it’s the best bar in all of NOLA, Vic thinks it’s the worst - you can decide for yourself.

  • The Chloe - Vic & Greg have decided that Dirty Martinis are their new thing, so it makes sense to add a Martini spot to this list. Check out the bar at The Chloe hotel for a beautiful setting, delicious martinis, a funky wine list and to ultimately feel like a boss-bitch.

  • Frenchman Street - Because of Covid restrictions, we don’t really know what the state of live music will be in NOLA at the time of the wedding (don’t worry, we will provide you with plenty). If the bars on Frenchman Street are open though, make sure you head here to catch some live music and warm up your dancing muscles.

The Registry

We understand that you will all be traveling to celebrate with us in New Orleans - so your presence means the world to us and is all we ask for. If you'd still like to give a gift, please click here to visit our Cash Fund with Zola. As a reminder, 50% of all gifts will be donated to The Mutual Aid Response Network, led by Imagine Water Works.

We hope you’ll join us for a kick-ass weekend!
